Career and Academic Background before TAOYAKA Program

I graduated in 2014 from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at North Eastern Regional institute of Science and Technology (NERIST). After that I worked as a research assistant for nearly 3 years at several Universities. My initial research was focused on designing high performance and low power electronic circuits, gradually I got interested in the field of Image processing. I started to learn more about the field of image processing, and in that process I found out that deep learning and computer vision is a very interesting field which has the potential to give a very big boost to the whole concept of Artificial Intelligence. This caught my attention and thus I chose to work in this field, I am very grateful that I got the opportunity to fulfill my dream at Hiroshima University.

Research Plan in TAOYAKA Program

As a Taoyaka Student in Technical Creation Course my responsibility is to develop systems which will have a good impact on society and help improve the conditions in disadvantaged regions. My plan is to develop computer vision and deep learning algorithms for Real-time and High speed vision systems, this can be used for various applications such as pedestrian detection for traffic management. Traffic congestion has become a challenging issue with the raise of vehicles on road, in future we will see driver-less cars, these cars will use computer vision and deep learning for automated driving.

For my research I will be using high speed vision systems which can do real time image processing. I am more concerned about accelerating the image processing time by improving the algorithms as well as hardware, and I hope that I will be able to achieve my goal.

Career Plan after TAOYAKA Program

Taoyaka Program is a conglomeration of Cultural, Social and Technical knowledge and solutions. So after graduating as a Taoyaka Student my approach will be to develop solutions for disadvantaged regions which can address all the aspects of society. Future technologies will be heavily based on artificial intelligence techniques and thus I want to give my contribution as well. I would like carry on my research in my country, but would also like to be part of an international research group which works for the betterment of disadvantaged regions around the globe, especially in Asia. Moreover, I would like to inspire future generation to understand their responsibilities towards society.
