Career and Academic Background before TAOYAKA Program
Before entering the Taoyaka program, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in LJS with an emphasis on International Diplomacy. Then I went on to complete a Masters in Public Affairs/ Executive Maters in Public Leadership from the University of Texas in Austin. My Masters degree capstone research titled, “Impact Evaluation of The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) AFP Fellowship Program, Post- Fellowship: Development of a Modified Performance Measurement Model” evaluated the post-Fellowship impact of the UNITAR AFP in the areas of continued professional network development of Fellow alumni, the effectiveness of the teaching methods, how learning objectives and teaching methods affected the development of leadership competence of Fellow alumni, and the Fellows post-Fellowship impact within their organizations. The research findings addressed the teaching methods, learning objectives and the Fellow alumni network. This report proposed a modified performance measurement plan to measure the post- Fellowship impact of Fellows. Recommendations from the Capstone research findings were implemented into the last cycle of the UNITAR AFP.
Research Plan in TAOYAKA Program
My research interests include: understanding the process of consensus building in Japanese and Israeli culture on transport related policies in rural communities, researching the impact of transportation on the socio-economic development of rural areas in Israel and Japan.
Career Plan after TAOYAKA Program
I plan on pursing postdoctoral fellowship opportunities in Japan, Israel and in the USA that arise after completion of the TAOYAKA program.
