  4. My future goal is to help build a peaceful society through the international cooperation industry. One of the objectives of the Taoyaka program is “to realize a peaceful symbiotic society”. In line with this objective, we are learning about approaches to assist disadvantaged areas in Japan and overseas by looking at the real situations. I commit to make people happy who will need us in the future using the knowledge, the learnings and skills gained here.

  4. I am Ryusei Kakujo from Osaka, Japan. Thank you very much for offering me such a great opportunity to study as a TAOYAKA Program student. I received my bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Hiroshima University in 2018. Currently, I belong to Transportation Engineering Laboratory in Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation, Hiroshima University. My research focuses on the effects of multitasking in autonomous vehicles on residential location choice behavior. Through the TAOYAKA Program, I would like to deepen my knowledge on international perspective, and to become a theoretically and practically experienced person.

  4. I graduated from Archaeology Department, Faculty of Cultural and Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in 2017. During my bachelor degree, I did several researches about Cultural Heritage Management, Tourism, and Maritime Culture. In 2016, I had been awarded in Tokyo Tech Indonesian Commitment Award (TICA) Japan for Cluster Social and Management. My research focuses on the preservation strategy of Japanese Shipwreck in Sangihe Island, Indonesia based on sustainable tourism. This research aims to preserve Japanese shipwreck, and boost knowledge about the history and culture of Sangihe at the same time to improve the economy of the surrounding communities. Development of the Japanese Shipwreck is further expected to strengthen the historical relations between Japan and Indonesia. My future career plan is, I am planning to go back to my home country Indonesia, after finishing Taoyaka Program to become lecturer and researcher. I also want to become part of government or state official. I believe, by being a leader I can have more power and greater chance for changing a region and the society towards a better future.

  4. I am Liao Yu and from China. Before joining in TAOYAKA Program, I got my bachelor’s degree from Hunan University. My major was automation, and now my research direction is about high-speed vision. In my research, I try to build a visual tracking system to assist the monitoring personnel which can monitor all the circumstances to achieve the protection of public safety and the prevention of criminal acts. Through the TAOYAKA Program, I want to improve the ability of solving problems and experience what I cannot gain in the campus life. In addition, get the achievement to help those in need. I will develop the abilities of multi-angle thinking, creativity and implementation. Also, I can learn how to collaborate with people from different fields and cultures.
