Career Exploration and Advising session was held!

Career Exploration and Advising session was held on March 3rd 2017

Career Exploration and Advising session titled “Meet TAOYAKA’s Professional Mentors!” was held on March 3, 2017.

In this session, students were provided opportunity to:

■ Learn how to build professional career path from TAOYAKA program’s professional mentors’ diverse academic backgrounds

■ Present on your research and career goals, then receive professional advice from TAOYAKA program’s professional mentors to build your career pat

■ Identify skill sets needed to succeed on your career path

■ Gain some tips how to connect your research to actual job opportunities

First, professional mentors introduced themselves including their diverse career and academic background. Then, four of TAOYAKA students had an opportunity to present their current research and received specific and valuable advice from each mentors. Participants were amazed by numbers and kinds of advices from three wonderful mentors. At the end of the session, participants also had a chance to networking with mentors and expect further connections with them. Longer hours’ session for next time was suggested by the mentors.
