(Mar. 20, Registration required) HU GLOBAL PITCH CHALLENGE 2022 by Japan-India International Linkage Degree Program
ILDP, Hiroshima University holds a pitch contest jointly with BITS Pilani. The selected students from BITS Pilani and HU pitch their business in the HU GLOBAL PITCH CHALLENGE 2022. This pitch contest is certified as an event of Commemorative Events: Japan-Southwest Asia Exchange Year 2022by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
In this contest, selected students’ teams of Hiroshima University and BITS Pilani will pitch their business ideas.
This contest is supported by HAX Tokyo and Sumitomo Corporation, The HAX Tokyo is the accelerator program for startups developing hardware products in Japan. The student groups of Hiroshima University had been mentored by HAX Tokyo for three months and will make final pitches.
Following students’ pitches, Dr. Edwin Olson, CEO of May Mobility, will deliver a keynote speech, explaining how his technology startup business has grown. May Mobility launched autonomous shuttle services in nine cities in the world including Arlington, Texas, Hiroshima University, and has successfully raised global funding.
We welcome students as well as those interested in entrepreneurship and tech business.

ILDP Program at Hiroshima University will hold an evening online seminar, inviting a young entrepreneur in India.
The speaker of this seminar is Mr. Vibhav Joshi who started a MedTech business when he was an undergraduate student.
Mr. Joshi has been tackling the social issues related to Maternal Health care with the technologies he developed. He has won several awards.
In the seminar, he will share his trajectory to be an entrepreneur.
This is a great opportunity to know about the experience to become an entrepreneur and try to change the world with technology in another country. Please join us if you are interested!

Speaker: Mr. Vibhav Joshi, Co-founder of InnAccel
Vibhav started Sattva MedTech in 2014. Sattva MedTech developed the Fetal Lite electronic fetal monitor to solve 300,000 annual intrapartum deaths caused by fetal distress. Vibhav currently serves as a co-founder and Director for Maternal Health at InnAccel.

At the Taoyaka Coffee Connect on October 5, we welcomed Lovisa, a senior Taoyaka student, they introduced themselves to each other and their research projects. They also received advice from the senior student about their future life at Hiroshima University and interacted in a relaxing time. At the end of the session, they promised to meet again in Hiroshima.
